Our
social
impact

We currently have different projects based on bottom-up methodology with multifunctional orientation.

What do we do to make an impact at Gosbi?

How do we make an impact in our community?

The love for animals has always been our engine, and that is why we constantly work for their well-being, and to find new ways to improve coexistence contributing to create a better world for people and their furry friends.

Animal Respect On Tour

Animal Respect on Tour is a movement that was born from the collaboration with Girona FC and that aims to travel throughout the country looking for stories and projects that raise awareness and encourage animal respect.

Through the account @animalrespect_ontour, followers can get inside the animal world, told through emotional stories at street level, visits to key places of interest such as entities, institutions or centers dedicated to animal welfare. Animal respect is one of our main motivations and we believe that our duty is to extend this message to the maximum.

n a van that goes around Spain, this movement looks for the most moving stories and the most interesting projects, and we give them a voice through the Instagram account @animalrespect_ontour.

#DejandoHuella ("Leaving a mark")

It arises from the Animal Respect on Tour. In each trip, with the dual purpose of promoting animal respect and pointing out the value of local culture, a local urban artist is contacted, who paints a mural on a wall of each site on the topic of animal respect as the protagonist.

Recurring donations

We know that we have a direct way to help the animal shelters and that is with food. Apart from regular donations, we also take advantage of Girona FC trips and choose a local animal shelter from the cities where the team plays to make a donation of 300 kg of food. During the match, the club president delivers a symbolic check together with representatives of the rival club. In 2021, within the framework of the Animal Respect on Tour and with Girona FC, a total of 7000 kg have been donated.

Animal Respect Challenge

With the aim of continuing to extend animal respect, we have started an educational project together with the Fundación para la Creativación and schools throughout Catalonia, where students work on different challenges with animal welfare and respect as main objectives. The project, replicable and with a duration of three months, has the involvement of educational centers, where students work in groups in a coordinated way to find solutions to real challenges. At the end of the project, the ideas that emerge from the challenge take part in a competition, and a jury selects the best ones to present them to the Gosbi team so they can be brought to life. In this way, Gosbi brings animal respect to the classroom and gets involved in the educational world in a direct and coordinated way with the help of teachers.

www.losadoptadores.com

Los Adoptadores ("The Adopters") is a web platform active since March 2021 that was born with the aim of giving up the dogs and cats for adoption from the animal shelters with most difficulties. That is why we have designed, planned and executed this web platform as a continuation of the previous annual campaigns Los Adoptores in which all the families that adopted the previous year were rewarded.

In this evolution of our adoption support program, Gosbi takes a proactive role and approaches all families to the animals available in its network of collaborating animal shelters, currently made up of 413 entities spread throughout Spain.

The purpose is to give maximum visibility of the furry friends seeking a family, facilitating their adoption. To achieve the perfect encounter, animals can be sorted from the website by types of pet, proximity of the animal shelter and by their characteristics. Having so many animal profiles on a single website is key for the future adopter to find the animal they are looking for.

Do not hesitate to share it if you know someone who wants to grow his/her family!

Mesa Gosbi ("Gosbi Table")

The Mesa Gosbi arises from the idea that animals are full members of our family. We notice that an activity as common as eating in a restaurant, often can not be done with the whole family, since there are establishments where dogs are not allowed. The Mesa Gosbi is a project that was born to facilitate the entry of dogs to restaurants that want to be part of it, offering a special menu for animals and a whole new experience for the user.

Mas l’Arbreda

Mas l'Arbreda is a farmhouse located in La Vall de Llémena (Girona, Spain), where we are working on a project around nature, animals and our relationship with them. The project was born with the interest of promoting education and awareness for our rural, environmental and social heritage, and true to our values we make a courageous commitment to sustainability and self-sufficiency contributing to education for respect and love for animals. One of the main axes of Mas l'Arbreda project is the promotion of the native races of our territory. Currently almost all native Catalan breeds are in danger of extinction. This sad situation has been reached because more productive foreign breeds have been prioritized, which are much more profitable, especially because of the intensive livestock system. From Mas l'Arbreda we want to contribute to the recovery and conservation of the native Catalan breeds, and also to make them known and bring them closer to anyone who wants to, so that more and more of us love and defend this cattle so ours.
